Another Restaurant Review - The Rusty Pelican, Tampa Bay
2010-09-27

As you most know already, dining is one of my favorite hobbies. My husband usually chooses the restaurant and we go with our friends, Debbie & Danny. We live in Weeki Wachee (Hernando County), but like to go to the Tampa area. This time the hubby picked The Rusty Pelican which is located at 2425 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa and their web-site is therustypelican.com. The phone number is 813-281-1943.

Saturday night we drove and it took us less than 50 minutes from Weeki Wachee to The Rusty Pelican which is located right on Tampa Bay. They are also a catering hall so they had two weddings going on which was kind of neat to see the brides taking their pictures at sunset. The restaurant makes you feel like you are on a cruise because the water is right there; there are fireplaces and it has a romantic atmosphere. It reminded me of Armani's in Tampa as far as being on the Bay, but is a little less expensive. We even saw a dolphin!

Out of the four us, three of us thought the food was excellent; the picky one (Danny) didn't like his Fettucine Alfredo. I had Shrimp Rustico which I thought was great. It is mostly seafood and steaks and ranges about $80-100 a couple. The service was excellent and attentive.
