BP still working hard for themselves.
2010-05-16

Its never been done before. All through this oil spill we hear from BP how its never been done before at this depth.

To which I have to say, Why not?

What youre telling me BP, is that you never even considered testing these procedures prior to a real emergency. How hard would it have been to text this box theory at significant depth before hand? Too expensive? Not practical? Just didnt care enough to bother? Seems like a reckless and stupid approach to safety and the environment, not too mention the people that work for you.

Seriously, if you cant be bothered to test an emergency procedure before you risk the economy of several States, the welfare of millions and the destruction of an entire ecosystem, why are you allowed to drill at all?

Heres another one that got me going

Why exactly does BP have control over the video of this disaster? We know they have extensive video footage of the leaks(s) as they use video to control the ROVs they say are trying to stop the leak. But they wont release it. Why not BP?

Better stillwhy exactly is the US Government accepting that as an answer? We have our own military and Coast Guard and marine science organizations that more than have the capability to get on a boat, go to the spill location, drop down an ROV and take some video. We can do it when we see news happening anywhere else in the Nation, what exactly is stopping us from doing it here?

Maybe BP simply doesnt have the time as they continue to work for their own self interest. Producing the greenwashing videos of Tony shaking hands and walking around an oil rig must be taking up a lot of your time. Its no small wonder you have no time to release some video footage of the death you are creating.

Are you wondering how big this thing really is? Take a look at this:http://paulrademacher.com/oilspill/

This just in: BP released a video of the main leak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYFYVNvgg-A
