For businesses that are impacted by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the U.S. Small business Administration (SBA) is approving disaster loan funds! "Economic Injury Disaster Loans" will benefit small businesses by providing financial aid that would not be necessary had the Deep Horizon oil spill not occurred.
According to Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, "Though Florida has experienced no actual environmental impacts from the Deepwater Horizon incident, tourism-dependent businesses and other industries have suffered from this disaster. Now these businesses will have access to low-interest loan programs to begin the recovery process and assist them through this rough period."
All counties along the west coast of Florida will benefit from this approval, as well as several contiguous counties including, Alachua, Jackson and Leon.
