With Thanksgiving right around the corner, here are a few beautiful and clever centerpiece designs to "Wow" your guests and
1. Purchase three pumpkin gourds in different sizes. One large, one medium and one small. Remove the stems from the large and medium pumpkin gourd and stack them on top of each other. Surround the pumpkins in autumn leaves, nuts, seed pods, pine cones etc. in a fashionable decoration.
2. Purchase a ball or cone shaped foam topiary and put it in a small, sturdy bowl so that the end sticks out above the bowl. Typically the weight of the fruit will keep the foam into place but I like to secure it with a tad bit of hot glue. Insert a floral skewer (you can purchase these at most craft stores), leaving about 2" sticking out and press the bottom of a small apple or pear onto the end of the skewer. Larger fruit may be too heavy for the skewers. Cover the entire form with fruit and fill in any left over spaces with evergreen leaves, berries, boxwood etc. Be sure to fill in all the gaps and refrigerate until you are ready to use as a centerpiece.
3. Wrap a few votive candle holders with with four moistened corn husks trimmed to the size of the holders and wrap with raffia. You can add a beautiful feather for an added flair.

4. Take a stroll outside and and find a nice bare tree branch. Anchor the branch in a pitcher or a glass vase with some sand. Invite guests to right messages of thanks and tie them to the branches. Place the ornament in the center of the table and have family members and guests read them out during the meal.
5. Take some acorns (or other nuts) and layer them around a small tea light candle in the bottom of an 8 oz clear glass. Light the candles and Voila! instant Thanksgiving.
Have a wonderful Holiday Season!
