Northern Florida Feels the Impact of the Housing Crisis
2008-04-29

In March of 2006 the home sales in Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater were taking a plunge of 26 percent. During that time, Ocala, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Jacksonville were still on an upward rise of home sales.

However, those cities couldn't keep themselves from the drop of the housing market forever. They're now feeling the impact of the Housing Crisis.

March home sales in Ocala were down 50 percent. Gainesville suffered a 34-percent drop. Jacksonville's decline was 37 percent and Tallahassee's 29 percent.
