Share some Easter joy with your Potential Buyers
2015-03-30

Just a few more weeks until Easter! Where does the time go? With spring being the busiest time for real estate, why not decorate your house for the spring while you are showing it? You don't want to add too much clutter, but a few decorations here or there brings life and happiness into the home. This way buyers can envision where they would put their decorations once they move it.

Here are few quick and easy spring decorating ideas.

1. Add a bouquet of Springs flowers, such as daisies, lilies or pansies, to a nice vase and place it in the kitchen. Adding fresh flowers to the kitchen adds a nice fragrance and ambiance.

2. Decorate some Easter eggs quick and easily. Start by blowing out the interiors of each egg before you decorate them. Then dye each a solid color such as pink, blue, yellow, green and add some small dots, lines or swirls with glitter glue. Place your eggs in a lovely basket and set them on the coffee table, mantle or dining room table. You could also paint them with a brush and acrylic paints. This will add some strength to your eggs, as well as a variety of colors and shades.

3. Grab an old picture frame that you are getting ready to donate to a charity shop or throw away and paint the inner glass with chalkboard paint. Write a nice "springtime" saying such as, "Sweet April showers do spring May flowers" on the board and display it on the fireplace or just hang it on the wall.

4. Liven up the front door with a beautiful spring wreath. You can make your own or purchase one. Making one can be very simple! Purchase a wreath frame and simply hot glue flowers, maybe a makeshift birdnest, some Styrofoam eggs and a bunny to it. Use your creativity. Buyers can spend quite some time at the door waiting for an agent to unlock it or for the seller to answer it, give them something nice to look at.

5. Make a lovely centerpiece for the dining room or coffee table using eggs, flowers and an egg carton. Prick the top of an egg with a pin and use your finger to widen the hole. Empty out the raw egg (set aside for breakfast) and wash out the empty egg shell with water. Fill the egg shell with spring flowers such as mimosas and sweet peas and put the egg back into the carton. Place the carton of eggs and flowers on the table and you're all done. This makes a beautiful spring time flora/fauna arrangement.

Buyers tend to imagine what it would be like to live in the home that the are looking to potentially purchase. By adding splashes of springtime color and life you have added springtime color and life to their imagination!
