I have an update to the Subway vs. Coney Island saga! It appears that this situation has caused quite an uproar in the City of Brooksville, including a "Brooksville Boycotts Subway" Facebook page, complete with almost 500 members! Letters have been sent, boycotts have been threatened, Brooksvillians have spread the word and lo and behold....Subway has caved!

According to a message received from the owner of Coney Island Drive Inn, Blair Hensley, on the "Brooksville Boycotts Subway" Facebook page, "I just received a phone call from Subways Corporate Attorney and they have asked me to disregard their letter. They said it was a mistake and that they should have not sent the letter to Coney Island. They did not realize that we sold Hotdogs."

Huh...you would think that big corporate Subway would've checked into that before sending a "cease and desist" order.
